4/28/24 First RI Bluefish!

Yesterday I hit the beach hoping to find my first Bluefish of the season. So far, these Blues have shown up from Long Island and south, Delaware saw the influx start around 4/20, with NJ and NY around the same time or a little after. It hasn't busted wide open, and theres no garauntee it will, but to see them move in and stick around to the south, well the theories of a banner bluefish run might be coming true. I have never caught one here in RI in April, last year I got my first on May 5th, and that was the earliest I had caught one here. So far, I've heard of exactly 0 caught in RI, though rumors of at least one caught in Mass.
