The weather has really taken a turn lately, a huge storm brought inches of rain to the area and temperatures are staying on the chilly side for awhile longer, though the 10 day forecast is looking pretty excellent. To you and me, this weather sucks, but there is a silver lining, and that is its bringing favorable conditions to the Striped Bass spawning rivers which have been suffering in recent years to provide good returns on young of the year Striped Bass. We are getting into that spawning timeframe now, especially for the southern rivers, and this rain came at a great time, but ideally we will get more rain in the weeks ahead as the spawn gains momentum south to north. As for the rest of the fishing story, things haven't changed much as everything is pretty much on pause as the weather pattern hasn't done anything to bolster any new or exciting bites.
