Started the day off searching the beaches of south county hoping to find albies. All I found was a decent size swell with no sign of life. Around 1pm I went out to the west wall, assuming this would be my best shot at catching. I tend to avoid the west wall for the most part as it is likely the most crowded spot on any given day, and when the fish are not there it is a pretty boring place to be. Still, its a great spot and I went there knowing if nothing else Id likely find other anglers to chat and pass the time with. I got out there and saw a light crowd of less than 10 anglers, half of which seemed to be engaged in casting as if they thought there was a good chance they might get bit on any cast, while the other half, perhaps the wiser of the bunch, stood around just watching and hoping.
